Regatta Crew Declaration

For events that specify it in the Notice of Race, this form is to be completed by the skipper a minimum of 8 days before the specified event or as otherwise stated in the Notice of Race.  If the requirement for a Crew Declaration is not listed in the Notice of Race, then you do not need to complete one.

NOTE: 2025 Australian Championship Crew Declarations are now inside the 8-day pre-event window.  All changes (e.g. Crew changes) are to be submitted in the Crew Declaration and an agreement sought from the race committee.

At least 8 days prior to an event requiring this Crew Declaration as specified by the Notice of Race, each boat entered in the event must supply a crew declaration to the AVXCA Committee stating the names of all crew sailing in the event. Any changes to a boat's crew declaration within 8 days of the event must be submitted to and approved in writing by the AVXCA Committee prior to the commencement of the event. Boats that enter the event after the 8 day crew declaration due date may do so only at the discretion of the AVXCA Committee. It is the intent that there is no systematic attempt to sail with heavy crews in heavy weather and light crews in light weather.
